Women’s History Month & Women In Business

March is Women’s History Month; can you believe in just 1920 women got the right to VOTE? That is only a mere less than 100 years from today. Wild huh? #womenrock

The theme for International Day of the Woman for 2019 was Balance for Better, to many people this might mean many different things but for me what it can be equated to is a simple word: resilience.

Resilience is defined as: the ability to recover quickly from difficulties, toughness, elasticity.

Not only are child bearing women elastic, LOL happy funny for you, BUT women are elastic creatures in general with their ability to adapt, change, grow, and shape to serve the best interests of whatever situation they are faced with, and women do this at all times!

From a young age the morals of honesty, integrity and respect were instilled into me and in my opinion Women’s History Month is a testimony of those morals!

Women are #rockstars, we are wonderful, beautiful, capable and challenging individuals and by in no way am I a hard core feminist, but I do believe women can do things men can do and a lot of times BETTER.

Now Women in BUSINESS, that is another thing all together! Women in business are strong, brave, bold, innovative, intelligent and SO MUCH MORE! #bosslady

Some of my favorite women in business are Rachel Hollis, with The Hollis Company; Randa Carrabba, CEO of PowHer Fit & Southern Jewlz; and Emily Heath, CEO of Ring Wraps! I believe each of these women wake up and kick ass every single day and their success is a result of that!

As women in the world of business we owe it to ourselves and our sisters! So be the WOMAN you want your daughter, sister, cousin, friend, Mom, niece or a stranger to LOOK UP TO!

I would LOVE to hear about who you look up to a woman in your life: leave a comment below and tell us who you admire and WHY!

“Strong women, may we be them, may we know them, and may we raise them.”
